Character Creation

Ability Scores:

New player characters in the World of Aereth should be created with the point buy option and a pool of 39 (thirty-nine) points.  That is a generous amount, so adventurers should expect to encounter tougher-than-average monsters, lethal traps and elite guardians if they wish to obtain the richest treasures and deepest secrets of Aereth.   Accordingly, they are outfitted with abilities beyond those of average Men.  Players are encouraged to optimize their own PCs and work together with friends to synergize their abilities and develop a potent team of adventuring heroes.

Race & Class:

Aereth is now a "Core Only" 3.5/OGL campaign (including the Expanded Psionics Handbook, XPH).

Alignment:

Player Characters in Aereth must be of good or neutral alignment.  If a PC's alignment ever changes to evil by conscious, deliberate choice, that PC must be turned over to the DM and is forever more an NPC.

Open Classes:

Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard

Open races:

Human, dwarf, elf, gnome, Halfling, half-elf, half-orc

Starting gold & equipment:

PCs should be equipped with average starting gold (not maximum).

Expansion access:

Currently, the World of Aereth (3.5/OGL) is a Core Only campaign.  Players should restrict their build options to those found in the Player's Handbook and Expanded Psionics Handbook.
