Description: Shandae’s Furrow is located in a 12-mile radius centered within the formerly blighted lands of the Slaughterscar in the Valley of Obelisks.  Due to the 9-month divine prayer vigil and planting/restoration project undertaken by Ayotunde, the Slaughterscar has been transformed from a blighted scar into a lush, verdant valley of plains and light forest.  The Marrilach River flows southward about 5 miles north of the borders of the Furrow, and the northern border of the Furrow is adjacent to the West Oakwood, where many elves dwell.

Stronghold: a natural cave complex enhanced by Ayo’s stone shape magic, located at the south end of the Furrow in the Strezabo Foothills.  The cave was once a home to a mad aberration – a grell alchemist – and its bugbear servitors, but early in her adventuring career Ayotunde and her allies cleansed the cave and she planted a sacred seed within it. The cave is now carpeted with soft green vines that bear a sweet cherry-like fruit with gentle aphrodisiac qualities.  Ayotunde expanded the cave into a spiraling 4-level structure which extends deep into the side of the hill.  (20 stronghold spaces total, 14.5 used, 5.5 available; stronghold value 39,050 gp)

Stronghold Components:

The Furrow’s stronghold at the vine cave has hardened, reinforced natural stone walls through its structure.  Ayotunde hired Kagan dwarf architects to assist with the design and hardening of the overall structure, and the dwarf-craft is apparent in the stronghold’s efficiency and durability. Her private chambers are on the 3rd floor, adjacent to the owl aviary above.  The second floor houses Ayo’s kitchen, living room, craft room and guest quarters/infirmary, and the ground floor holds the sacred vine cave itself, as well as an adjacent worked stone stairway leading up to a small chapel and office.  The mysterious merchant Besha has used his own considerable magics to fashion himself an appropriate home-away-from-home in a cavern adjacent to the Furrow’s main facilities.
